About: The inhabitants of a small village in Italy prepare for a unique journey in search of answers to life-defining questions.
In SANTA INOCENCIA, director, writer, and choreographer Meritxell Campos Olivé descends into the subconscious, using abstract movements and strange encounters to create a surreal visual journey from birth to death.
The title of the film is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the director's approach to her work, the tonality of the film itself, and the plot, which is carried by a nostalgic longing for the loss of innocence.
